Aga Muhlach fails to dethrone Fuentebella dynasty; Migz Villafuerte proclaimed CamSur governor

The provincial board of canvassers on Thursday night, May 16, proclaimed William “Wimpy” Fuentebella the winner in the race for the 4th District of Camarines Sur.

Fuentebella got 82,834 votes compared to Muhlach's 80,629 votes.

RESULTS: Camarines Sur

Youngest governor in PH

Luis Miguel "Migz" Villafuerte, the son of incumbent Governor Luis Raymond “LRay” Villafuerte, has been proclaimed governor of Camarines Sur.

Migz won the race against his grandfather, Rep. Luis Villafuerte Sr.

The younger Villafuerte got 263,792 votes while his grandfather received 200,086 votes.

Of the 4 Villafuertes who ran for public office, only Migz came out victorious.

At 24 years old, Migz is the youngest elected governor in recent history.

In 2011, reports say Miguel Luis Villafuerte courted Sarah Geronimo. The rumor circulated late March when the former sent a bouquet of flowers during the premiere night of Sarah’s movie, “Catch Me, I’m in Love” with Gerald Anderson.
